Gee Simmons is a young artist from Surrey, England, who specialises in realistic portraiture and still life paintings.
She graduated with a Fine Art BA (hons) Degree from the University of the Creative Arts in 2011 and is highly skilled in oil painting and fine line drawing. She is also trained in working with plaster, bronze, wax and extends her drawing and painting skills into tattoo design and wedding accessory crafting.
Gee first picked up a brush aged just 10 and completed her first oil painting soon after. Since then she has meticulously honed her skills resulting in the paints and drawings displayed on this site.
Her degree was primarily sculpture based, broadening her skills to include all kinds of materials, but on graduating she returned to oil painting and drawing, as a means of showcasing her skills in the most fruitful ways.
Her work now is almost exclusively commission based, as her main concern is giving others a personal, meaningful work that is relevant to the customer. Attention to detail and capturing the essence of commissioned images is extremely important to creating the perfect work.
